Exactly. It took Saban for them to get even a single game ahead in that time period.
The high water mark for LSU against Alabama is a .500 record.

yea but the NCAA helped you and others (Auburn won 6 straight) get about 6 additional wins keeping us on sanctions that today would amount to 4 scholarships, instead they took a total of 46 scholarships between 95 and 2002. You weren't beating "normal" Alabama teams. Back Then there was no transfer portal to rebuild a team in one year either. You're obliged to the NCAA for helping you out....and even with all that Bama still won more than they lost. Without the NCAA LSU has no chance to win more than 1 out of probably every 3 or 4.
