"If we had JD at QB, we would easily be undefeated right now."

Unless you think JD is elite on defense, this statement is definitely a lie. In your 2 losses, Ettiene had 160+ yards on like 23 carries and McClelan had 120+ on 27 carries.

Why are you calling out LSU with 2 losses....as if UT doesn't have 2 losses? LSU with a mediocre defense is probably undefeated right now. By mediocre, I mean any defense we've fielded the last 20 years.

Offensively, there's no need to argue. Go look at the JB led LSU team stats thru 8 games and compare them to this teams. The numbers are eerily similar....not better but similar.

Comparison:
Chase 889 yds / 9 TD's thru 8 games
Nabers 981 yds / 9 TD's thru 8 games

Jefferson 819 yds / 9 TD's thru 8 games
Thomas 732 yds / 11 TD's thru 8 games

Burrow 205-260 / 2,805 yds / 30 TD's + 3 rushing TD's
Daniels 163-223 / 2,573 yds / 25 TD's + 5 rushing TD's

Not to mention that Burrow had a legit 3rd WR in Marshall who also had 9 TD catches thru 8 games that season before getting injured. We are more balanced this year with a better run game.

However, this offense, so far, has been every bit as good as that 2019 team...thru 8 games. Better...NO! As good...Yes.
