We're just as likely to see LSU's defense get it together as we are Bama's offense. The only difference is what you WANT to happen.

So a severely depleted LSU defense that was already playing poorly before the injuries will somehow get it together, and Bama's offense that was playing very well the last time they took the field will somehow be ineffective against them? I'm still not seeing any logistical reasoning other than "they have dudes and this is a big game for them, so they'll probably play their best game."

What am I missing here?

Nothing. Go bet all your money on Bama by 3 TD's. It MIGHT happen.

You’ve been impressed with Alabama’s offense recently?

Nearly lost to Arkansas and Tennessee.

Tennessee had more yards and 1st downs than Alabama. LSU will blow us out if we play like we did against Tennessee.

ETA: Alabama scored 27 points in the 2nd half against Tennessee

1 TD was by the defense.
1 TD was a 46 yard bomb.
1 TD came after we started the drive on Tenn’s side of the field.
Then we settled for 2 long af FG’s.

Positive things, but not something that screams “hey the offense is ready to move the ball consistently.” Barely beat Tenn at home and had 5 yards of penalties and scored a defensive TD.

So best case scenario and we still barely beat a horrible Tennessee who was dropping passes left and right.
