Arkansas had issues with effort last year.

I was at the Missouri State game and I could tell when the players ran out of the tunnel, that something was off.

Arkansas looked deflated and Missouri State went straight for the neck at one point in the first half with a 24-7 lead.

Arkansas needed a fourth quarter rally to avoid a potential 5-7 season.

They played much harder in the first half against the aggies and were about to blow the doors off them in the game.

Then KJ extended the ball five yards from the end zone and hell broke lose. Arkansas played the opposite in the second half and looked as the if they were drunk.

Arkansas played Bama and they played them like they were scared of them as one WR refused to extend his arms to catch a pass on a crucial third down pass as an example.

Arkansas played much better in the third quarter and made a game out of but a sloppy first half was too big of a deficit.

KJ was hurt and didn't play in the state game and pretty much player and fan confidence dropped like a rock.

Arkansas didn't quit and beat a depleted BYU team and an Auburn team that was covered more on TMZ than ESPN.

The Liberty game is where Arkansas was a 14 point favorite. That is when things began turning sour for Pittman. Fans got pissed and many are still irritated about that game.

I was at the game and it was just an awful performance and the team just didn't give a damn. However Liberty did give a damn and jumped on Arkansas with a double digit lead. Arkansas decided to play some football and got back into the game but came up short.

Two weeks later hated Ole Miss comes into town and Arkansas blitzed them in the first half, playing harder than any point during the season.

Missouri was next and Arkansas just looked like complete cow dung and it just felt like you where watching a game with a migraine headache while getting punched in the back of the head.

Sam Pittman learned a valuable lesson in that it doesn't matter if you are playing Alabama or Alabama State, if you play like a horse's arse then you will lose to any team on the schedule. Football is football and these players aren't machines and the so called inferior competition has some athletes as well that can make you look foolish.

So the good thing about this year compared to last year is that you no longer see the lack of effort but just poor decision making by Sam that has been a problem.
