Wrong, it was invented by Major Adams in Madison, Alabama, He owned A&A BBQ there, which burned down in 1977 or 1978. He was an old man by that time and never rebuilt. I knew him personally and ate at his restaurant at least once a week, for my whole life growing up.

Major Adam's was the best ever made.... I even put it on pizza! Little less vinegar than some others... miss it badly!
