The problem is he used different values when filing his taxes. He inflated values to get loans and shrunk values to pay taxes. That's fraud and it's why he was found guilty of fraud in a civil court.

Trump has boasted for years about being smart enough to not pay as much tax as he should. Why now?

Doesn't matter the lender is responsible for vetting the financials and if they believe it then they approve.
