The only stat that would matter here is receiving yards if you are talking about an RB. It's great that DMac could do some trick plays or pass out of the Wild Hog, but he's a QB in that setup.

Return yards are special teams, not running back.

There's something to that but I don't know that its fair to completely throw out non rushing/receiving stats. We wouldn't take away a QB's rushing yardage when talking about the best to play the position
