Auburn Punter Just Became a Heisman Candidate LOL
Punting is criminally underrated.
Congrats Oscar! Growing up, I was a bit of a Raiders and Dolphins fan. Ray guy was amazing. The next punter that came to mind this morning as I had just woken up was Reggie Roby, long time punter for the Dolphins / others. Also amazing, and then I started wondering....why aren`t there more African American kickers and punters in college and the NFL? Most other ethnicities are well or over-represented. Why not African Americans? Plenty play soccer now. I couldn`t come up with any logical reasons. Any ideas / thoughts?

NFL Top 5 Longest Punts of All Time Neither Ray nor Reggie are in the top 5, but 2 of the 5 were punts by African Americans, and one of them was a QB, not a punter. Any guesses (hint - 1989 Eagles QB)? I was surprised.

I think black folks are still few and far between in taking up soccer. It is such an absurdly expensive sport to play competitive, club soccer at the youth level. Reggie is the goat Dolphin punter for sure.
