Which season? His first season as a starter was 2018 with LSU and he put up worse numbers passing than Beck is on track for. His video game numbers didn’t happen until his 2nd season as a starter and his 4th year of college.

You think all former 5-star players should be able to put up video game numbers by themselves in their first season as a starter? Is that how you think it works? Like I said, there is an unrealistic expectation that some fans have about college QBs.

What do you define as “better development”? Fromm developed well under Smart; his last season was underwhelming due to not having consistency at WR. Bennet developed well under Smart. Beck is doing a good job in his 3rd season with the program. What makes you think our QBs don’t develop well? You think Beck hasn’t gotten better?

What makes you think Bobo “isn’t it”? Give back a couple of turnovers and a few missed throws and our offense was doing pretty good. The problem we’ve had to date has been injuries and breaking in a new QB, but Bobo is calling a lot of the same plays and using the same concepts as Monken did.
