Apparently to keep the B1G out of the SEC footprint. Don't know if true or is even a legitimate argument. Seems like someone would have gobbled up West Virginia before the Big12 if "footprint encroachment" was a real thing. Football, not a big deal. But adding that much travel to the non revenue generating sports just seems counter intuitive to me.

Putting the value that both FSU & Clemson bring aside. What the hell does Ole Miss, Miss St, Missouri, and Vandy bring/have? I’ll wait.

Again it’s not about footprint…it’s about eyeballs on games now. FSU & Clemson bring more eyeballs than everyone not named Bama, Texas, Ga, and Gay&M.

In reality UNC and one of the VA schools will be coming with us. Duke & both VA schools are a possibility.
