The only thing the Big 12 will be useful for as far as football after Texas and OU leave, is to be a farm out league for the Big Dog schools in the SEC, BIG, and ACC via the Transfer Portal..

The schools in the Big 12 will be a good stepping stone for the studs that got overlooked in high school or the kids that need to develop a little to go play and prove themselves then hit the Transfer Portal after a year or 2.

They could be a force to be reckoned with though in some other sports like Basketball, baseball, etc.

I think they have potential with a more balanced conference, bigger question will be distance and rivalry issues. tech without TAMU or Utx and CU if they invest in sports again. The Arizona schools mean a redoing of the old Border Conference. Utah could fit well.

Interesting that the old PCC schools who killed that conference from cheating did not go to the Big 12. Question is if the B12 adds the last 2 schools still without a home.
