The 80’s and 90s Bama was bad. Very bad.

Were they? Let's investigate:

 10-2
 9-2-1 (SEC champions)
 8-4
 8-4
 5-6
 9-2-1
 10-3
 7-5
 9-3
 10-2 (SEC champions)

 7-5
 11-1
 13-0 (SEC champions; National champions)
 9-3-1
 12-1
 8-3
 10-3
 4-7
 7-5
 10-3 (SEC champions)

That 20-year-period, as "down" as it is by Alabama standards, rivals the success of the entire history of the Texas A&M football program.
