I think Sam makes it at least another year, so it's likely a moot point, but...
I'm curious if anyone can point to an up and comer type coach running an innovative offense? HUNH, spread, power spread, RPO - all that's been neutered by defensive adjustments and rule changes. All of that can still work, it's just not the advantage it was 10 years ago.
Bert-type power offenses have gone the way of the wishbone - just inferior offenses.
"Pro" style still relies on having great QB play.
Air raid is still sort of unique although a lot offenses have taken elements from it. It's had mixed results overall. Tony Franklin is a guy I'd be interested in, but he hasn't had an HC opportunity yet
