Another reason he wouldn’t throw it deep on that play is because he is moving to his right. Horn has a great arm, but throwing across your body in coverage would have been dumb.

Hardley a dumb throw as in rollout routes like this it is common to read it as deep 1st, middle 2nd and flat as the 3rd read. I do though do not think it a bad read to go the middle route to Miller as he was open and he felt more comfortable throwing hat route.
