'Sandstorm' creator Darude to perform at South Carolina home game vs. Kentucky

In honor of the event 10 hours of Sandstorm....

“Sandstorm has been a staple for Gamecock Athletics for more than a decade,” athletics director Ray Tanner said. “We are excited to welcome Darude to Columbia and we thank Ariat and Harrison’s for making this event possible.”
This will mark Darude’s first performance as part of a Gamecock football game since his global hit “Sandstorm” became synonymous with Gamecock Athletics.
Darude will perform a one-hour set in Gamecock Village and then serve as the game’s celebrity starter, leading the GAME-COCKS chant prior to Cocky’s 2001 entrance.
In honor of the event 10 hours of Sandstorm....

this will be Rayberry SC 29203's legacy as AD at Carolina - he secured Darude to perform at 10am in Gamecock Village before the almost certain Noon kickoff v Kentucky on SECN - the Saturday before Thanksgiving -
eta - this is an 'event' for a night game against Furman in Sept or Jax St early Nov - not during an SEC weekend - it actually might draw more fans to show up for the FCS opponents - but maybe Darude can't swing it with his busy schedule - :shrugs:
