Schwarzkopf, inspired by Grant, has a tremendous autobiography that doesn't shy away from detailing his life. His alcoholic mother, PTSD and injuries from Vietnam, family strife, his own bout with alcoholism, nearly having a nervous breakdown in the lead up to the Gulf War (despite Powell doing his best to shield him from Dick Cheney's idiotic suggestions)... you really get a picture of how he came to be the General he was.

Just a first class autobiography.
