Why do y’all still play there? I gotta feel like y’all are losing money to appease a small portion of the fanbase.

The ones we are trying to appease are the very elderly old money boosters. "By God, Arkansas should play in Little Rock because they've always played in Little Rock!"

There is arguably more money in NW Arkansas now, but folks like the Walton family prefer to spend their money on civic projects. Which, mind you, ain't a bad thing.

It isn't great for sports though. In time that will level out and sports donations up in the hills will go up. But right now we have to get a few more years out of those Little Rock boosters.

I think it was absolutely necessary for a few reasons. It wasn’t that long ago that WM was bigger, had lights (Fayetteville didn’t), central to the state and not up the pig trail. It’s just run it’s course, hope the ASU game is the finale.

This is not up for debate.

Who are the Little Rock billionaires besides Stephens?

Northwest Arkansas has a half dozen, including three Waltons worth a combined nearly $200 Billion (I know, they don't care about sports, but still).

The Baums and Walkers would be considered huge money in Little Rock, but in NWA they are also-rans.
