I've followed Mizzou since mid 70s...and Pinkel starting with Smith Daniel Gabbert Franklin Mauk Lock (Odumb) is pretty damn good run and you can add Corby Jones to the list that's like 20 years of some outstanding QB play that's why people don't have patience with Cook and would like to see Horn get a shot I'm curious how many of those QBs were state champions in high school...winning is big factor for your starting QB

Chase Daniel won a 3 state championship’s at Southlake Carroll. Southlake Carroll was ranked the #1 high school team in the country while he was there

Mauk lost in the state championship in Ohio. He holds a lot of national passing records. His dad was his high school coach, but moved to Missouri when Mauk came to Mizzou. His dad was the head coach at Glendale High School in Springfield for 10 years until 2 weeks ago. Maty’s dad is suing the Springfield Public School system. I think Maty is still one of the Asst Coaches.

Horn won a state championship his senior year. His junior year he lost in the state championship to Mizzou’s backup QB Jake Garcia’s team. Garcia moved to Georgia from California because football was canceled or shortened because of COVID.

No for Lock, Cook, and Gabbart. Gabbart was injured and missed most of his Senior year.

Not sure about the rest
