Butler makes a putt on 18 in the dark to extend match!
That match will finish this morning.
If he wins, on to the quarterfinals
Bacha Advances to round of 32.
So did Butler and Valdes!
“Seniors Carson Bacha and J.M. Butler will be competing for a second straight year while junior Brendan Valdes and freshmen Jackson Koivun and Cayden Pope will all be making their career debuts at the
event.”
Amazing.
Could we win men’s and women’s am in same year?
Butler is thru to round of 16
Valdes lost
Bacha was tied late, but lost
Long way to go.

Cherry Hills CC is a hell of a course, some great golf history there as well

My son and DIL and I will be going to East Lake for the Tour Championship next week. We've been doing this every year for a number of years now (not counting COVID) and its really fun and I love the course.
I haven't played since my first back surgery in 1990, but I still love the game. In fact, of the professional sports, it kind of amazes me the most how good professional golfers are.

^crazy good.
When I play, I just look at a sprinkler head for number to middle of green, and pick a club.
They feel the difference between 50 and 52 yards. They keep the ball below the hole.
They have so many options as far as how they get the ball to travel, left to right, right to left, high/low, flop/bump&run.
They rarely miss a putt inside 6 feet or so. They chip/pitch inside 3 ft most of the time.
Sand bunkers are not an issue for them 90% of the time.
They hit it 300 yards routinely with driver.
I laugh at how far I hit an 8 iron when the announce on TV, “he’s got 172, going to take something off this 8 iron.”
