Anyone opposed to taking Notre Dame needs their head examined.

I see you've never been to South Bend. Or interacted on anything close to a daily basis with Notre Dame fans.

All the trolling that Texas fans do here ? That really is how Notre Dame thinks of themselves. I wouldn't care if they were the most valuable team on the planet ... no thanks. Go elsewhere.

But go ahead, schedule them Vols. Then tell me how great it is to hear them bitch about Neyland the entire time they're there. Because that's what Notre Dame does.

I get what you're saying, and understand the points being made about the lack of cultural fit. But this isn't Northwestern or Stanford we're talking about... it's Notre Dame. Notre Dame is inextricably linked to college football history, and weekly clashes between ND and SEC stalwarts would be absolutely awesome.

I don't care if they think highly of themselves, I care about watching compelling football and the only other non-SEC school in the same stratosphere is Ohio State.
