If you already have your money, rural Kentucky is pretty damn nice. If you're still earning your money ? Then rural Kentucky can be a rough row to hoe.

Louisville is awful. But places like Bowling Green are mini-cities now, and the kinda' places that are nice to work in, shop in, and then drive thirty minutes away from.

Yep, that's why I'm in Texas today. Kentucky just didn't have the job opportunities I was looking for as I was starting my career.

Now that I'm established and have a job that can be done fully remotely, I often wonder why the hell I'm still in this got damned convection oven we call Texas.

I'm from Lex originally, so that would probably top my list. But I've worked in Frankfort a good bit and have a lot of good friends that have ended up moving to the Shelbyville area in the last 10 years, so that would garner a serious look as well if I were to make a move.
