Live and learn
ACC and SEC were basically the same conference originally. Hence they have strong inter conference rivals like ...
Auburn = Taters
Florida = Free Shoes U + Miami
Georgia = Georgia Tech + Clemson
Kentucky = was Indiana, now Louisville
LSU = historically Tulane, now they have scheduled OOC
Missouri = historical kansas
SC = Taters + Tar Heels
UT = original ACC schools
Vanderbilt = Wake, Service Academies, and other ACC schools
Since lots of history (which matters here) and lots of gate receipts coupled with donor dollars, going to 9 games means the probable end of the revenue streams they generate.
B1G - B12 - B8 - SWC - PAC have no similar games across their teams. I would add that many lesser games played are tied to old SoCon schools and helps their bottom line too.
