Sadly, the most impoverished area of Appalachia is actually Eastern Kentucky. A shame, because it's geographically the most beautiful part of the statem, perhaps outside of our horse farms here in Central KY.

Lexington is beautiful and we love our trips there. Just wish Keeneland races were still going on when Georgia comes to UK. Dang the scheduling changes. Those were fun days

I thank God that our legislature resisted mining back in the day. We'd be right there with Bell Co and Harlan if we hadn't.
