If we counted them like some of you like to pretend we do, we’d have more than the 18 claimed. 17. That 1941 bull shite needs to be dropped

Say what???

In Alabama's 1982 media guide, Bama claimed only 6 national titles. S-I-X!!

By the end of the 1980s, Alabama had magically won 11. E-L-E-V-E-N!! From 1983 to 1989, Bama lost a grand total of 25 games --- and still managed to win an additional 5 national titles!!

Y'all started this retroactive stuff -- now, deal with it!

USC and notre dame both claim pre poll era titles. Just like Alabama does. Those teams were celebrated at the time as champions. Who gives a shite when they were officially recognized?

Aside from the bullshite 1941(which no bama fan will argue in favor of), we don’t claim non poll titles after 1936.

Michigan is actually the worst at claiming stone age titles when the concept of a National Champion didn't even exist.

They claim to have 11 National Championships.

1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1918, 1923, 1932, 1933, 1947, 1948, 1997.

Out of all of those, a grand total of 2 of them had Michigan actually ranked #1 in the AP Poll.

1948 and 1997

Interesting fact, Michigan has never finished #1 in the Coaches Poll and has never played in any form of a National Championship Game.
