“Florida State would seem a natural fit for the SEC. How come this never happened?”
I love and respect Bobby Bowden but he never wanted any part of the sec. I know he wanted the Bama job his whole life but that was to coach Bama, not play in the sec.
He was asked why they went ACC instead of sec back in the mid 90s and he said “well, I’m not stupid”.
