Yeah I never really understood why the SEC would want Clemson and FSU when we already have the state’s flagship schools of SCAR and UF. Virginia and UNC would be great fits considering they’re flagship schools in southern states the SEC doesn’t have any schools in. Just makes too much sense to want them instead of FSU and Clemson.

Absolutely correct.

100% wrong. This is not 2011 when conferences were trying to get more states and increase their monthly revenue from their networks. That model is going away.

Brands are the name of the game now.

Who will tune in to see ____ play _____.

Notre Dame is #1 on the list.
Wherever ND goes, Miami & Pitt will follow.

UVA and UNC #2 and #3 because both conferences want them and they are good in all sports. They will both go B1G because of the academic side and AAU.

That makes FSU and Clemson #4 and #5 overall, but #1 and #2 on the SEC list once the top 3 say yes to the B1G.

That doesn’t mean the SEC will pull the trigger anytime soon, if ever. But if we expand, the 5 schools above will be where it starts.

All of the other options are pretty much the same imo.

NC State
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
Oklahoma State
West Virginia
Pittsburgh
Louisville
Texas Tech

If hoops are important.
Kansas
Duke

The B1G will cherry pick the PAC to fill any and all needs. The Big 12 will take leftovers from all.

You won’t agree. That’s fine, but you are wrong.
