Rumors are starting to leak across the internet about today's schedule release.

One I've seen involving us is we add Oklahoma and Georgia gets Texas.

If you see any leaks post them here.

BREAKING:

Each of the SEC teams will play either Texas or Oklahoma once in the upcoming 2024 CFB season.

So every SEC team will have Longhorns or Sooners on their 2024 schedule.

So we're getting Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss?

fricking yikes.

I wonder why they would do it that way considering we just played there 3 years ago and bama hasn't come to athens since '15? I know it's a big jigsaw puzzle and they have to make the pieces fit best they can but that just doesn't seem to make a ton of logical sense. We'll have clemson, texas, bama, and UF all away from athens

I may have guessed wrong on the 8 opponents. I just realized Texas A&M wasn't on my list.

I guess we get one of either A&M and Arkansas.

I'm very curious if we get A&M. In '11 when the put the 2012 - 2024 schedules together the only scheduled trip for us to college station was 2024 which obviuosly hasn't happened yet. I'm interested to see if htey'll keep/honor that game or just scrap it. We've never played in CS in our history. Gonna be funny if we play an SEC game in Austin before we ever get to atm.

Wait wait wait….y’all haven’t played in College Station yet? So y’all have games at Colorado, Notre Dame, and Clemson more recently than a “conference” opponent

I think we’ve only played South Carolina once since Stephen Garcia was there

no lol

In the initial scheduling post-2012 expansion they were scheduled to play in athens in '19 (did happen) and us go there in '24.

It's crazy to me that Florida and ATM have already played 4 times since expansion and we've only played them once

IIRC it was semi-competitive? Would have been early Jimbo and Kirby days with the QBs being Fromm and Mond?

a staple of the james coley era; making games far tighter than they have any real reason to be

Jimbo's 2nd year and kirby's 4th. Lousy weather with rain coming in right before kickoff. Boring, slog of a game where not a whole lot of note happened. Man james coley was so fricking awful.

I still say that the SEC will throw a bone to Texas and Oklahoma and give them a marquee home game. We just played Texas, so the next obvious choice is Georgia. They still could give you both TX and aTm, but I doubt it.
Maybe you'll get the long awaited aTm game and Texas will get sort of a combo of a LSU and a Florida.

Since Oklahoma and Texas gets all SEC schools, I'll go with their home games as:
Texas:
Georgia
Missouri
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

Oklahoma:
Alabama
aTm
Kentucky
Miss State

But I guess somebody gets the Oklahoma Texas game "at home" in the Cotton Bowl. So that removes one team.

Alabama’s SEC home games in 2024 will be AU, UGA, MO, SC. Road games will be LSU, OU, Tenn, Vandy.

If this is true the Rant is going to lose their shite.

ETA: No Mississippi State or Ole Miss.
