Honest question. Will LSU save Skenes for Wake in the second game or do you go all in first game?

Should be whichever team is the better hitter but I would guess first game.

Can’t see us not pitching him first game, can’t afford to go in the losers bracket. Floyd didn’t have it today, but if he’s on, he can deal with Wake.

Skenes pitches the opener for sure. You can’t overlook anyone in Omaha, and you want your ace available for a potential second start sooner than later.

22 of the last 23 National Champs won Game 2.

The only exception is Coastal Carolina.
in 2016. I would save Skenes for Game 2. Floyd can beat TN or USM.

If LSU loses Game 1 or Game 2.. they are toast: That combo gives them their best chance imo.

Texas is not in, but I’m hoping we get there.
