Alabama and LSU are both the slimiest universities in the country when it comes to athletics. They’ll burn their entire campuses down if that means keeping the football program afloat. There’s literally no institutional control over what goes on with their football programs because it’s what keeps their states going. It’s sad really. The economies of both of these states are extremely reliant on a bunch of 18 year olds throwing a football.
