I am starting to question if we would fair better if DVH hung up that hat. Who would we hire though?
baseball is the most random sport where the best team rarely wins. It’s the reason the mlb plays 162 regular season games and it’s always a series. All you can do is put a ball team on the field that can compete and DVH does that year in and year out. You don’t run him off, because we’re more likely to end up like ole miss or state than we are to find jay johnson and win a title in year 2.

I think it's more LSU approaching roster building like the Yankees than it is anything Jay Johnson is exclusively doing. Boosters just buy him a new Ferrari to drive every year.

Chris Lemonis won a title in year three. That guy is the Gene Chizik of college baseball. He hasn't even made a Regional either of the two years after winning the CWS.

But you know what? MSU can fire him at any time, and the fans still have the NC they watched their team win.
