No he rode the bench for two years because he's super bad. Not sure what that had to do with playing for one of the top coaches in the sport. 
Poor kid already spent 2 years in the SEC getting absolutely shite on about as badly as one could and got processed.
Poor Mizzou. Taking the lowest hanging fruit out there this late in the game. Struck out on everyone else eh?
