Josh just covered this on his Late Kick. Alabama is by far at the top of the Blue Chip ratio.

Right, but all of us who watch the games know that certain positions and ages of those blue chips matter more.

3 5* WRs stuck behind 3 5* WRs isn't doing much for the gameflow.

If you have experienced talented kids on the DL at QB and at OL you have a chance to be really good. Bama has a QB problem (maybe) and that is really where this decline talk is coming from

I do tend to agree with you in general, but Aabama's QB's are:

Eli Holstein-4* .9581
Dylan Lonergan-4* .9359
Ty Simpson-5* .9883
Jalen Milroe- 4* .9631
Tyler Buchner- 4* .9684

All Blue chip. (Which kind of goes back to your point that they have 5 blue chips but only one can go onto the field.

Their problem seems to be two fold. Missed evaluations and lack of development.

Alabama has been plagued with early outs to the NFL, graduations and transfer portals. Then with a miss eval here and there, and some players not buying in to Saban's system and expecting teams to give up before going on to the field...
