I don't think matching up with their athletes is impossible since Ole Miss did it.

I think Bama can matchup with Florida.

Bama must:

Run the ball well.
Play good run defense.

Bama can't:
Have multiple turnovers or special teams mistakes.


Meyer's schemes haven't been as big as their defense and special teams creating turnovers and easy points. If the get turnovers or blocked kicks, then they're going to beat you.

Absolutely. Offensively first. We have one of the best O-Lines in the conference and a very deep stable of rb's, therefore, should be able to run the ball effectively. We have one of the most physical receivers in the conference and, if we can get him the ball, he should be successful. We have two of the best Tight Ends in the conference who have shown they can be a threat in the short to intermediate pass game. They key will be to not turn the ball over, no stupid penalties and keep moving the chains. Things we have stayed steady with all year and been very consistant in our ability to do it.

Defensively, we have a VERY physical front, very large, quick lb's that tackle very well. We have one of the best safeties in the conference and very good cover corners. We have, in my opinion, the best defensive coach in the country. The goal here will be to stop the run, cover deep, again, no stupid penalties and create turnovers. Again, something we have been very consistant in doing all year.

Depth is not near as bad as many make it out to be. We are deep, just VERY young. That being said that was more of a concern the first half of the season. Many, many guys have shuffled in all year, not to mention the overall talent of the young guys (Frosh All-American LB from 2 years ago is backing up a True Frosh. Our 4th string TB was our leading rusher last year. WR definitely a concern. Need another go to guy other than JJ). Also, make no mistake, we have seen athletes just as good as some Florida have, maybe not as many on one team but would you really bench Spiller, Knowshon, Massaquoi, Green, Byrd, Scott, etc if they played for Florida?

No. This is what makes this game so cool. IMO, the best offensive mind in the game against the best defensive mind. While we probably haven't seen his schemes, Tebow has definitely not seen pressure like he will in a few weeks, imo at least.

All that said, it will take a complete game by Bama to win, as it will by Florida too. What about this? What happens if Bama continues to cause turnovers, like they have all year, and gets short fields, or what if Urban kicks to Javy? I think this will be a tremendous game that will come down to the wire. If Florida destroys Bama I will come back here and eat crow though. I just want to take care of business in two weeks.
