On a micro scale, sure. But if a coach/program develops a reputation of being unreliable in their information pre-draft then it taints all players coming out for future classes. NFL teams are in the business of knowing who they’re investing in, both pros and cons. If you can’t be honest about who a kid is including their flaws then you’re doing everyone a disservice

Why is it a college coaches job to tell the scout anything? Again Dabo or any coach should be looking out for the kid.

I run into situations like this all the time at work. Sunshine pumpers are all over the place so you just adjust your filter and identify who at that organization will give you the best no shite assessments instead of the head guy. Talk to the position coaches or coordinators. Honestly they are typically the ones that spend the most time with the players so they are probably your best source of info anyways . Talk to other people around the program. When you meet with Dabo, you smile an nod your head.
