That’s it. Because we were sinners, we have to disavow our heritage. Never mind that all men are sinners, always have been, and always will be. Last Memorial Day I found myself at a Confederate grave off the Natchez Trace. 13 boys were laid to rest there. Far from their homes, their names not recorded, fighting for other men’s property interests with some deluded notions about patriotism. A familiar theme in human history. “Ours not to reason why, ours but to do and die.” I will remember them.

People should be proud of who they are and where they are from.
I don't want to change who I am and I won't stand and get a lecture from some deranged lunatic that I'm a second class citizen and it will always be that way. I'm offended and you better kneel.
