His record is clear and those close unexplainable losses have happened since his first year.

there has been no improvement in SEC record.

You're both right. He has not improved him SEC record. But he has improved in SEC play by putting us in position to win games. I'm not saying that deserves credit, but its worth noting and keeping an eye on. Its time to flip some of those now.

He's 7-7 at Mizzou in games decided by a TD or less. Would be 8-6 if Mevis could connect on a 30 yarder in the middle of the field, or if Peat could simply hold onto the football.

In comparison, in close games at Mizzou:

Odom: 4-9
Pinkel: 27-25

Mizzou hired a very young, green coach and he's shown that inexperience in his first three years in the SEC, the best conference in the country. You don't fire someone like that for going 3-5 in this league a few times. He will most certainly improve with time. He's shown that he can make a great coordinator hire and hopefully Moore will be the next one. He was recruiting really well before NIL undercut that a bit. His response, loading up on high-quality transfers has shown good adaptability.

Last year, Mizzou's point differential improved by 58 points and, as mentioned, he was very unlucky not to go 4-4 in the SEC. And, all of that with no QB being handed to him, unlike his predecessor.

I think Coach Drink is going to be just fine at Mizzou.
