Not playing certain opposite division opponents have occasionally helped one team win the division or even the whole SEC. In some years being able to avoid Vandy or Florida was a definite advantage in the West. Not anything unfair, just luck of the draw.

Don't know if that will be worse with the new format or better. Probably better because both Texas and Oklahoma are pretty good and no one will be able to escape good opponents.

It will all be random though. No way of knowing who will be good when they fall on your rotation. The SEC is so deep that I really don’t think that will make much of a difference
