LSU dropping back to back game to USCw in 1998 was fluky as hell. That team was incredible and just fell apart out of nowhere in the semis to an OK USCw team
USCe had a fluky title series loss in their bid to 3-peat. UGA had a fluky loss to Fresno St in 2008 in the title series. LSU set a school record for wins in 2013, were the #2 team in the country (#1 Vandy was knocked out in the supers) and went 2Q in Omaha, losing both games 2-1.

UNC was the #1 team in 2013 with 59 wins, knocked LSU out of Omaha and still lost.
I forgot about the UGA loss to Fresno, that was tough to watch.
