or are the Gators just too good to be beaten at this point?
In big games Sc has the ability to show up and throw down the law, but what is questionable is if the gators are even restrainable.
i really think the gamecocks can win if they truly show up

SCAR throws for more yards than anyone else in the SEC, but just has trouble with INTs and running the ball.
Nothing's impossible, but they'll need UF to screw up in pass coverage, and they'll need to get some luck in the turnover battle.
UF has a monster running game, but SCAR might be one of the few teams in the country capable of stopping it.

The Cocks were one Succop FG conversion away
from blasting UF's title game away 2 seasons ago.

You can't compare UF's shitty offense from '06 to what they've got this year. The Gators are much better this year, and it's not even close.

Exactly, Florida's offense is ridiculous, but i agree that SC might have the defense that could stop it

I'm not so sure that it's UF that's so much better, or that the SEC as a whole is so much worse.
Defenses in the SEC this year, with a few exceptions, just don't seem to be up to snuff.

slow, 270+ lb. linebackers covering harvin, demps and rainey?

Lots of nickel/dime packages?

2 keys to beating Florida
1. Win on first down. This is key IMO, If UF gets 4-6 yards on first down, they are extremely difficult to stop. Winning 1st down is ultra important.
2. Do not lose the turnover battle.

Id say florida wins by ten. South Carolina's defense matches up pretty well with Florida's Offense. But there offense will struggle. You never know with spurrier though

well depends if the refs lay that wood to garcia again
Posted on 11/12/08 at 7:56 pm to jledet
may be that can get a huge ref to hit tebow

south carolina plays everybody tough and if this is a low scoring game then watch out but i dont think scar has the ability to score with florida

Yes. Not probable but certainly possible. SC is a solid team but speed (lack of) and depth will hurt them in the end. I expect a close game with FLA winning in the end.

ahhhh your being modest i dont think this one will be close.... florida will hang another 40 some odd points...the fsu game will be tricky though

the captain is suspended for the 1st half.

My biggest concern isnt our D.. its our running game that worries me. We might be able to slow Tebow down, but only for so long before they start getting tired.
Our running game is so uneffective it forces our O to become one dimensional (hence all the INTs and sacks) I believe thats why we rotated our QBs last week to at least try to give Arky something to think about.
and Pioneer its not Captain (thank the lord) that is suspended for the 1st half. It was starting safety / KO return Chris Culliver who got suspended. Luckily he can be replaced on KO return by Captain and Auguste is getting his saftey spot for UF.
