My guess is that is a bone to A&M, who accepts they have tp play Texas but they don't want Oklahoma. It would make sense t most to have LSU/ Florida and A&M/Oklahoma. You would be swapping a top 8 program for a top 8 program. But I suspect A&M wanted to keep LSU.

Can’t really blame A&M if that is truly the case. It would be just like they were playing in Big 12 again. Boring retread. But, several schools are closer than Florida that make more sense. As it is, Oklahoma is being gifted 3 easy wins with their permanent rivals (until we stop sucking and who knows when that will be). They probably have the easiest group of 3 perms than any other team in the league. Should have paired them
