You apparently don’t even remember that. It says you don’t have to say anything. It doesn’t say you can lie.

Yeah, he could have invoked his 5th amendment rights but chose not to and lied instead. I'd be more concerned about him ignoring his Miranda Rights, you know the part about anything he says being used against him in Court. Looks like he found out the hard way what happens when you ignore those warnings
