Nick Celini on 680 actually had a plausible idea:

He said that if he were Kirby, NOBODY drives through at least fall camp if you are in campus. You have to take an Uber.

I would be all for it, but it wouldnt have prevented this.

I'd be surprised if there weren't immediately some new rules, or increased enforcement of existing rules, immediately following the crash. We just don't know about them. There hasn't been any incidents since then, and the AJC did admit to stalking the players. I'm sure they are on some kind of lockdown.

What’s he gonna do, take their car keys away? How enforceable is that, really, for 19, 20 year olds? They will drive, regardless because they’re at college and want to get to where they wanna go.

We’ve been battling transportation issues, e.g. scooter violations, not having driver’s licenses for years. Even something like this won’t change that. Not to mention problems normally don’t occur “on campus”.
