A police investigator alleged Miller brought his then-teammate Darius Miles the gun that was used in a Jan. 15 fatal shooting of a 23-year-old woman.
According to law enforcement, Miles texted Miller to bring Miles’ gun to the scene and it was exchanged in Miller’s car.
Miller’s attorney issued a statement refuting the report. Oats said Tuesday he had known about Miller’s presence since the incident came to light and that Miller is “not in any trouble … wrong spot at the wrong time.”
He released a statement Tuesday night clarifying what he called his “unfortunate remarks” made earlier in the day.
On Wednesday, following Alabama’s 78-76 overtime win over South Carolina, Oats said he used a “poor choice of words” in his initial response and “I sincerely apologize for that.”

Imagine being the father of young girls and allowing people like Miller to remain in your program. Oats is a total POS.

Oats contacted Ray Lewis back in mid January, so he did know, or at least enough to lock down tge stupid in his program and force tolerable behavior.
