No not safe, but for Jxn, one of the better areas. There is a sturdy fence around Millsaps with controlled access, but you can drive on and off Belhaven without going through a checkpoint (Belhaven in a better area than Millsaps - even though then are only a few miles apart).

BTW - Millsaps is in serious trouble enrollment wise, while Belhaven is holding serve or better.

I went to Millsaps in the 90s. We had a female student get abducted, assaulted, and tried to empty her cash account using her atm card. Created a campus wide system for escorting students around campus as a result.
Recently read that many cars that parked on the Murrah Campus that is across the street from Millsaps for the JSU game at Memorial Stadium when ESPN gameday was in town were broken into.
