Doesn't mean a thing ... neither-do any of the other preseason accolades your urange ilk and you have been touting in January-February.
What matters is staying relevant between now and May and, most importantly, start an upward trend in April and into May and begin peaking by June.
None of it means anything in February.
Win your home series, split your away series and try to win as many of those as possible ... don't get swept, etc.
You Vol fans should have learned the ropes last season but ... apparently-not.
College baseball is a marathon not a sprint.

IP locks and checks would be a glorious thing on here but it would reduce posting by about 75 percent.

I can tell I'm getting old because I see a team like Tennessee get some talent in and I ask myself why they would go there and not somewhere with a rich baseball tradition.
Then I realize I'm probably underestimating how much some 18 year olds might value wearing fur coats in the dugout, getting to cuss at umps and watching your coach try to fight them, and getting hyped up on deer antler spray while hitting fly balls that end up counting as HRs
