That may some Alabama level cheating but it pales in comparison to Southern Cal and UCLA.

The PCC was disbanded for cheating so rampant. Ironically when it reformed to become the PAC the only 2 schools in the conference ho had not cheated were not asked to join the PAC.

Here is the Wik page for "Papa" Sam.

Known as "Papa Sam" and "Papa G" to UCLA players, he opened up his Bel-Air, Los Angeles home to the players and became an advisor to many. He bought clothes, cars, and even arranged abortions for players' girlfriends.

Wooden came to UCLA in the 48 - 49 season and was winning 16-22 games a season. Papa Sam shows up in the 1960's and UCLA start losing 1 to 2 games a year on average. Sure seems like Sam was the key to UCLA winning all those banners, not Wooden.

Bill Walton said in an interview he made more at UCLA than he ever made in the pros, but later denied making the statement.
