OC at Notre Dame is a little more accomplished than DC at UTSA. Kiffin was a walking punch line when we hired him and Sark's performance with the Falcons was considered mediocre at best.

Your comment makes sense if you watch football on a superficial level. The coaches especially Saban doesn't care about the prestige of your former employer. Saban has hired guys from group of 5 schools and he's hired guys from power 5 schools. In the coaching industry the great coaches don't look down on guys because of where they work.

Sark and Kiffin were excellent OCs at USC; won nattys and put QBs in the NFL. Kiffin's personality issues and Sark's alcoholism doesn't take away that they were elite college football OCs BEFORE coming to Bama. To think Saban gave a shite about Kiffin being the butt of fan jokes says a lot about you and your understanding of the game.

I'm hopeful Rees is successful but I'm not about to do him a disservice by comparing him to Sark and Kiffin. Rees simply can't compare to those guys.
