Recruiting talent in the south, boosters and resources will make it almost impossible for any big 6, fsu, Mia or Clemson to be permanently frozen out. I think atm even though they haven’t is probably only a decent hire away. Same for Texas when they join. Nebraska hasn’t proven they can overcome poor instate recruiting. I would say Oklahoma is the closest to potentially becoming a Nebraska once they hit the sec. Sooners have Arkansas 2.0 written all over them

You're close. Nebraska's move to the B1G was their downfall. But you can't blame them. Texas was the culprit behind that, though. When they came up with that 'Longhorn Network' and decided they wouldn't share revenues Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, and A&M left. All were pissed because the Big 12 allowed Texas to have the Longhorn Network and not share revenues.

Nebraska was recruiting well when they were with the Big 12. They had exposure in Texas, Oklahoma, etc where the conference footprint was. Once they went to the B1G they were, more or less, a foreign entity in that part of the country.

And as an aside. The SEC needs to be very careful when Texas finally joins the conference. They are leeches and will only seek to benefit themselves at the cost of other conference members.
