quote:
I was on business up north once years ago and I'd eat and drink at this bar near the hotel each night. Some kid maybe 25 years old was around the bar and he'd let you know he was a "CEO" of his own company. He had a card, his name on it, and "His Name" Enterprises was the name of the "business." He also said he worked at some motel to make ends meet. Come to find out, his business was selling shoplifted merchandise out of the back of his car. But he was completely serious about being "a CEO" - that self-identification thing was not him being sarcastic. He really believed it
They are all about titles and perceived power. Look at the coaching profession from pro down to high school. You have run game coordinators, pass game coordinators, co-OC 's and co-DC's. All useless titles. If you ain't calling the plays on either side you ain't a coordinator. I know a local high school where the "OC" doesn't even call the plays. Just a meaningless title. Dude is also like 24. I'm sure it's just a title for his coaching resume, but I'm pretty sure if a HC is looking to hire him to be a real OC he's going to check to see if he called the plays at his previous gig. All just so stupid.
