re: Lou Holtz. Is he right or is he wrong?

I was at a dinner that long ago basketball coach Doug Moe spoke at. He was known for being about as animated screaming coach as you will ever see. He told a story about ripping into Kiki VanDeWeghe(They are great friends still today) so hard during a timeout Kiki almost cried. He told him he was useless so just go back in and foul his arse out as fast as possible, maybe get in someones way by accident. Kiki goes in hacking everyone but doesn't not get called for a foul. Afterwards the ref told one of the stat guys that they felt so sorry for Kiki they didn't want to get him in more trouble with his coach.

Funny story but his point was if you did that today the player would tell you to f off and go sit on the bench or leave.
